2003 won't idle

My 2003 Yukon V8 Vortec with a dealer installed remote start won't idle correctly. I had the remote start dealer installed so if there were any problems with it, GM was to blame. My wife hit the remote start with NEXT TO NO GAS in the tank and ran it dry. I put 5 gal in it and got it started but it would not stay running. It drives fine when your going -nothing amiss but when you stop at a light she stalls out. It seems the idle is to low and won't kick up.Stop and put it in park and it just slowly idles down untill it stalls. Everything else seems fine. A friend of mine told me to disconnect the battery to reset the computer but that did'nt help or hurt. Any and all help will be appreciated--Thanks -Chris

Problem fixed---Fill the tank--There is a seperate piece on the tank that must be filled or it does'nt register to the pump. Just a little help.
