Mph Gauge Question

In my trans am with all the performance mods done to her her mph gauge is no longer reliable it bounces around about what speed im going but its all the time bouncing up and down.. kind of like a boat does.. does anyone know what i can do to fix this? ( the only thing i can think of is buying a gps mph thanks )

that doesnt sound like something that would happen because of a performance mod. i think its because the shaft is binding. if you pull off the console and grease the shaft it should be fine... (is that what you're supposed to do?) i THINK thats what you have to do, you should chceck on that :B

but yeah. im pretty sure its the flexible shaft thats going into your spedometer.

they sell speedometer cable grease at auto stores, I'd bet that'll fix it.

if its not the cable its the gear inside the tranny.
