"Brain"?
Hello All. A friend of a friend of mine needed a part and they asked me to call around my local junkyards for it (not many junkyards where they are).
The only description of the part was the "brain" of the car for a 1990 caravan. By "brain" I would assume it is an ECM? Or is it a PCM? Also, are there any variatiions for this year I need to ask my friend about before I start calling around? I assume most of these cars are automatic as well? Any info is appreciated ![]() -Eric

Re: "Brain"?
In '90 the 2.5l 4 cylinder was available with 3-speed auto or 5-speed manual.
There was also a 3.0l v-6 available with auto only. I think the 3.3l wasn't available until '91. You will need to know what engine they have (if it is 2.5l, transmission too) and if the emissions are 49 state or California. |

Re: "Brain"?
I had a hunch it wouldn't be as easy as I thought it would be...
Ok, thank you for the info. Looks like I get to make a phone call to my friend to see if they can get more information about the van before I can start looking for the ECM.

Could it be the Body Control Module (BCM) ?
