Running is the best way to lose a gut quickly, it's a really good ab workout, and doing sit ups, wouldn't hurt to throw in a few pushups either. 10 Kilos, that's about 22 pounds, that's safe to gain that much in a year, but it's not very healthy, not at your height. Watch your diet and run a lot. That doesn't seem that your that "fat" though. BMI wise you're 130 lbs/62 inches, that's right around 2.1, I'm 175 lbs(80 Kg)/72 inches tall and that's 2.4. I'm not really fat at all, but I'm pretty muscular so that could make a difference.

I'd just suggest working out a little bit, lot of running and watch what you eat.

Re: bad or ok

v10_viper is partially right, except where I think he was going with the sit-ups thing. You cant spot burn fat, so if your trying to flatten your stomach then doing a lot of sit ups will just make your stomach muscles bigger. The only way to lose weight is to burn more calories than you take in. Either by exercise, diet, or preferably both.

You said you were only 16, you have probably grown (not fat wise) over the past year, if you have then that can account for some of the weight gain. But viper is right in that running is the best way to drop weight, nothing will get your heart rate up and keep it up like running because you can always adjust your workout to your physical needs.

I have a decent little post about losing weight at the top of the fitness and health forum to give you a few ideas of things of what to do to shed a few pounds. (god im such a whore about my stickied post)

Re: bad or ok

thanks for the advice guys.....my sister actually got my mum one of those running machines(it's like a bike but your standing) so is that ok if i use that??

about dieting i dont like vegetables and some fruits but i dont eat that much junk food

i read somewhere that the best weight for someone at the height of 5 ft 2 is from 55kg's to 63kgs but i want to stay 60kgs...so is there a way i could possibly just flaten my gut
