Arrow MOD Help

I recently decided that i need to replace my door and trunk emblems (due to chipping and breaking) and dont know what color to go with. i have an 01 Silver LS. the other thing that i was going to do was paint my engine cover, and the engine mounts along with the black mounts under the hood. if any one has suggestions on what colours have been used and look good and others that i should for sure stay away from.

Re: MOD Help

black, or maybe a nice tint of fuchia.

black on silver looks pretty good for emblems. you may want to think about gunmetal. i know its very rice, but its a good contrast to silver.

Re: MOD Help

I have a silver '01 LS too the bodyside "bumpers" are black, so black or a even a darker grey (like the grille) would be ok -- I've also seen the logo emblems chromed like the jumping impala emblem on the rear roof pillar... That DE3 Chevy Orange/Red will also set the logo emblems off against the silver and the already black trim moulding.

Police impalas have the mouldings and emblems in body color and it looks pretty plain, but most of them are white. Not sure how that "treatment" would look on silver.

My biggest "Beef" with the LS impala exterior is that ugly rear wing that appears to be mounted too far forward -- My first attempt to remove the beast found that in addition to the screws, it is glued on -- yuck, it figures.

On non-LS Impalas (including cop specs) -- why didn't they paint the side skirts body color? It makes all the "plain" impalas look a little goofy and half-done.

Re: Re: MOD Help

I was wondering if there was a wayt to take off the current ones without damaging the things, paint them, and then put them back on to the car. Right know i think that i might go black or red, i have plans on tiniting the windows with 35% this spring and adding the black wind deflectors on the windows so that is why im thinking black just to go with everything else, but at the same time i was thinking red to give it a little bit more of accent on the car and under the hood (lots of black already there). If anyone has pics on one the other, or something different that would be great.
