86 EXi Accord Problem
Just recently when ever I'd drive around and my rpm was around 2550 the battery light would come on. I thought nothing of it till now. I have an auto if it makes any difference.. And now the battery light just stay's on. Unfortunately I'm not the most mechanicely enclineded person around. My question is, what is the problem. Is it going to be my battery or my alternator, the belts are still on..

It may be both. If you jump a car that has a dead battery, the battery light keeps coming on and off while driving. You can check to see if it's the battery by getting a volt meter and starting your car and then attach those clips to the positive and negative terminals on the battery. If the battery doesn't charge or it loses a charge when you turn the car off, then you need to go get a new battery and most likely you need your alternator checked. But 9 times out of 10 it's the battery.
