Speaker/radio problem in 2000 Ext. Cab
My right front door speaker (6.25" - not tweeter unit) went out. I tried to install a new Kenwood 1679 2-way unit but all I could get to work is the tweeter.
Also, it has been awhile, but one day I could only get 1 speaker to work for a half hour or so...this has happened only once. Is there a short in my wiring or some other problem? Any help is appreciated! |

maybe a loose connection at the head unit?

Pull the head unit out of the dash and check all connections. Also check where it comes into the door. If these all check ok, get a Multimeter and do a continuity test from the head unit to the door itself.

it is a common problem with factory radios to have a channel go out, is it bose? if so then you could have a bad amp.
