Model# of Stereo/CD player

Hello all,

I am looking for the correct Model # of the stereo/cd player with the volume that goes up and down according the speed of the pickup. I drive a 1997 chevy silverado 4x4. My radio lights and cd player no longer works. Where else besides the dealer can you get this information. Every time I think about calling the dealer, they are closed!!

thanks

Re: Model# of Stereo/CD player

You will have to pull the deck out of your dash, the model # is going to be (should be) on that sticker, if it is still readable. From there search ebay to find one, there are always people pulling out their factory decks. Hope this helps.

Re: Re: Model# of Stereo/CD player

I called the dealer, he said that only the ones with the sliding bracket will fit, but told me to bring it to the radio fixing guy before I buy one from ebay. Said it will be a lot cheaper, so, I guess I will try that.

Thanks.
