Annoying Alarm
I have recently purchased the truck and I am now having a loud alarm that runs in sets of five for about five sets after you crank up the truck and then after every thirty to forty-five minutes it does it again. It sounds like the door ajar alarm but even slamming the doors does not help and I do not want to have to slam the doors every time. Has anyone had this problem or know what it might be?

Re: Annoying Alarm
I've experienced this on my truck too. A couple of years ago while it was still under warranty I brought it in and they repalced the switch. It may even have been a recall item. The new switch did the same thing and they have never stopped, but it only does it once in a while.

Re: Annoying Alarm
I hoped in my truck the other day and i had buzzing comming from dash. I tried closing doors and even pushing in the door ajar pins. I drove for about 2 miles and had to figure out what was wrong or just disconnect the darn thing.
LOL It was my overhead light switch that was shorting out some how. I felt like suck a shmuck, because of how angry the buzzing made me. |
