Is this possible??
I have a 86.5 supra. I broke a rod on it a while back. Is it possible to jsut get a new rod and piston head and put it back in there?

Re: Is this possible??
You have to tear down the engine to determine if there is any other damage. Usually when a connecting rod breaks it causes a lot of other damage, to the cylinder head or even the block itself. Either one could be damaged beyond usablity.

Re: Is this possible??
You have 2 options: rebuild or replace. Given the costs I would recomend getting a used motor.

Re: Is this possible??
What about just getting a bottom end for like 200 and throwing the old head on it? Sounds like your willing to take the engine out anyways.
