Neutral/safety switch
My firebird has a starting problem whereby occasionally when you turn the key nothing happens. If I wait about 5 mins it will then start like nothing was wrong. I suspect the neutral safety switch after a little bit of net surfing. My question is, is replacing this thing a big job or am I better off just paying?
I'm thinking this is easily done but I'm not finding a 'how to' in the Chilton manual or on the net yet. |

Re: Neutral/safety switch
a neutral safety switch is on your shifting column, if that fails, it basically means you can start the car up in drive or so.. most likely your problem is that your lock tumbler is broken.
