Next mod?

I have a list of stuff I want to have done by summer and hopfully break 12s. This is what I came up with in addition to what I already have: 660cc injectors, walbro 190, 3" catless dp, fmic. whats you opnion on what I should do next? I'm leaning toward a dp but I'm open to suggestions. Also if I left something out let me know
EDIT:I'd like to get ahold of a 16g to but I might just use the 60 trim that I have. I havent decided on that yet

Re: Next mod?

I would say the dp, or the fuel pump.

Or both.

Than injectors, than fmic.

Also, I don't think that SAFC can properly tune 660's.

Re: Next mod?

I'd go in this order...

1. downpipe
2. fuel pump
3. injectors
4. boost controller? (I didn't see it on your lists)
5. fmic
6. throw that 60 trim on! lol

Oh yeah, thats how I would do it... Oh wait, that is almost how I'm doing mine.

Re: Next mod?

DSMLink, hands down. Without that, you are running blind, for all practical purposes. It'll set a solid foundation for all other performance mods to come. I shouldve gotten it before anything else.

Re: Next mod?

Does DSM Link really make that big of a difference? I guess I'm just confused of its purpous, I thought it was simply a fuel management system. But, I've never looked into it either. lol Nobody else around here uses it and they are running 11 second or faster cars...

EEEK! Don't let Kevin hear you say that!

DSMLink is the ultimate tuning/diagnostic technology for DSMs. As we all know, knock is our nemesis. The more you upgrade your engine / run hard, the more you need to know what's going on under the hood. DSMLink does everything...its a logger, air/fuel control, a knock detector, plus a whole bunch more. I have not used it yet, though after I intstall my boost controller, it is the second thing on my list, along with injectors. I'm sure Kevin has gone over the importance of DSMLink in other threads. Better to get DSMLink in a single, complete package, than to get a SAFC and then a datalogger separately, IMO. It is expensive (what, in the DSM world of upgrades, isnt!), but it's worth every single penny.

Yeah just ask Mike's engine... oh wait, you cant! It fucking died because of knock! I would go for the DSM link as well, its going to be the first thing Mike's rebuild gets. Also, can a 16g on 660's and a 190 get into the 11's? I'm thinking that they cant, but what the hell do I know . I'd get DSM link, then finish out your exhaust and intake/filter. Then I would go with the injectors, fuel pump, and AFPR. Then I would get a big ass FMIC, and if I havent forgotten anything, I would slap on that 60 trim .

Who said anything about 11s lol. I just want to break 12s and I know thats possible. Theres a guy in Nebraska running a 12.2 in a 14b in a 95 tsi awd so I would think a 16g could handle it. DSMlink isnt an option right now beings that cash is tight and I already have a logger and afc and that will be able to cover the 660. Really its between a dp or a pump. Not that speed really matters right now since its winter and snowy and I'm getting fuel cut out the ass at anything over 10psi. Can that be compensated for with an afc?
