In the near future im going to pull my head and do a timing belt and balance shaft remover kit and swap on a 1g intake mani. I got to thinking while sitting on the toilet(where I do my best thinking) while I'm at it I might as well get rid of my egr at the same time. From what I gather the blockoff place looks to be a piece of 16gauge sheet metal with 2 holes in it and they are trying to get $8+shipping on ebay. If thats all it is I'm just going to make my own. So is that all it is, just the plate that blocks off the hole in the intake mani or do you have to do something with the exhaust to?

Re: egr blockoff
You got it. Just a plate. Takes no time at all to make. There are two holes the plate blocks off. One comes from the exhaust via the head, and the other goes into the intake manifold.

You can avoid the CEL if you don't unplug the EGR solenoid. If you have emissions test you should not do this mod.
