Tax Return HELP?

Hey guys...a quick question. Im getting my tax returns back pretty soon, and i was thinking about doing things to my car. I got it from some mexican guy, who didnt take care of it at all. It needs some major tlc. Since ive had it, ive changed the spark plugs, valve cover gasket, and the sparkplug wires. The main problem i have is...when i accelerate hard it seems like it hesitates when its getting up to speed. I dont know if this is because it needs a tune-up or what. Any ideas on what i should get done to the car with about 1000 dollars?? what i should replace? Maybe the fuel filter? HELP!!

1986 honda crx si

Also...where could i take it to get these things done?

Re: Tax Return HELP?

Full tune up.

Do it yourself.

A tune up is easy. Save the money you would pay a mechanic and buy a repair manual, timing light and some basic tools. Then you'll have these tools handy for when you need to do general maintenance, or for when it breaks down unexpectedly.
