Re: Killed A 00 Ss

LS1 SS's are slightly slower than LS1 z28s stock for stock... so if it was stock what's the big deal?

I agree it was a good kill and the SS IS NOT slower than the regular Z28. Whoever told you that story probably has a nice bridge for sale as well. They aren't really any faster but they are sure as hell not slower than a base model Z28 and how would you feel if you took a LS1 SS?. Say oh well he was stock, what was the big deal or would you want your braggers rights?

Re: Killed A 00 Ss

id be happy. Then I would think about all the crap I had to do to my car to get to that point and go home and get on autotrader or start looking around for ls1 engines. But I would still be happy!

Re: Killed A 00 Ss

There are lots of ways to look at what your saying but another way is to look how much it costs to buy a LS1 then look at how much you saved by modifying your engine to a superior power level then them. No matter how powerful a current engine is. Ten years down the road baring any major gas shortage or new crazy emissions the newwer cars will be sporting even more power. Its the facts of life. So now you may all think the LS1 or LS2 are the shit but look at all the people that went crazy over the TPI and then the LT1 thinking it was the shit. Everything has room for improvement and I would rather work with what I have than take the easy expensive way out.

Re: Killed A 00 Ss

Exactly, I enjoy modifying my car. Every modifaction I do to make it handle better or pull faster or burn a car costing 30 times what mine cost or 10 years newwer. I get too much satisfaction out of that to just give in and get the newwest and most powerful engine every couple of years. I believe strongly in buy the car you like and can afford and make it better than the car you love and can't afford.
