Smell OUT now!

Just bought a car from someone and the car smells like cigarettes.... wondering how to get the smell out. guessing febreeze, febreeze and car fresheners? didn't know if there was anything the car gods knew about.

air freshner, febreeze, etc. only mask an odor lasting a short time. There is only one way to really remove an odor for good. You will need to have the interior cleaned & shampooed along with an ozone treatment. A good detail shop can take care of it for you.

Re: Smell OUT now!

There is no way besides ozone to remove an odor for good. You can clean the hell out of the inside yourself and use a lot of air freshners but the stank will still be there but not as bad. After your clean it most of the odor will remain inside the foam of the seats and the headliner which you MUST be very careful cleaning. When I detailed I only spot cleaned headliners because you run such a risk of damage.
