Power window dead. Need help.

Hey my driver side power window went out on me this week. For a few days it was making a horrible noise now it will go down a little but wont go up at all. Im assuming the motor needs to be replaced? Anyway anyone know where i can find one and how much they cost? Im not sure if i should do this myself or have a shop do it. Ive installed the speakers in my doors n know how to take off the panels. Should it be easy to do? Any info would help. Its raining now and i have a garbage bag taped to the window.

Yea, same problem...come to think about it my car is a wreck, but it can be easily fixed if you have the part. I know hardly anything about working on my car and I did it. Especially considering you took off the door panel before it shouldn't be a problem. My motor wasn't working and i took off the panel-tinkered with it a little and it worked again. It had worked for a solid month after doing this and then failed to work again. It has something to do with how the wires get positioned or something like that. I recommend trying this method first and opting to buy a new motor and doing it yourself. It shouldn't be too hard so don't waste your money by going to a shop. Luckily for you--you've taken off hte door panel before. In my cas it was the first time and i ended up fucking with the window lock feature rendering it unusuable. However, you've done it before so it shouldn't be too difficult.

If you wanna buy a new one just check out any site mentioned in the FAQ or Window Regulators

actually, after looking at the price of the link he gave you, you'll come out cheaper buying it from either www.rockvillemitsubishi.com or www.mentormitsubishi.com
