Gauges not Working!!!

I have a 97 Grand Am GT 2.4L. The gauges on my cluster do not work at all (i.e.. gas, speedometer, engine temp, and RPM). However, all the lights work such as the blinkers, seatbelt, oil, etc... I've check all the fuses and they are all fine. Any ideas before I have to take it to the dealer? Has anybody experienced this problem?

Sounds like it might be a fuse.

Re: Gauges not Working!!!

On my '99 it was the ignition switch of all things. The contacts were corroded and the dash cluster did not "know" the switch was in the on position. Is anything else, not necessarily associated with the dash, not working?

If your radio isn't working i'd say that should point to the ignition. Just from reading post on here i've heard alot of talk of the insturment cluster going bad (just a guess though), Its obviously getting a ground or the lights wouldn't work (since I know gm's use one ground for the whole cluster). Maybe you could find out what wire from the ignition feeds power to the cluster and jumper power to it to see if that makes them all work.
