1999 V-Tec B16 Ob1 computer setup.

we'll i bought a 1988 Honda CR-X SiR with a 1999 B16 with 43000K on it, but she died on me, now i had a few issues with starting right after i bought it, you would go to fire it over an it wouldnt exactly turn over perfect, but she would fire up but then she just died, so i took it into a mechanic an the spearks ended up getting floaded, issue fixed, but, the garage is telling me, that it still has low rpm's on start up, under 1000RMP so you basically gotta let the car sit for about 1-2 minutes warming up, till you can really rev it up without driven, but once the car is warmed up, the car runs so perfect, so Anyways ... i went into honda today an asked if i could talk too anyone that would know bout my car, an i was lucky, guy working at a honda dealer, he's right into second gen CRX's, an he said something about Ob1 computer is from first gen motor's from 88-91, said too get a Second Gen Ob2 Computer 1996 an up for my 99 V-Tec 1.6L, anyone know if this is why start up starts on this car, this would be such a help, by the way the car has 1993 electrical.

hold up hold up, before u miss understand something so simple. if ur ecu hooks up to the car then ur good. u dont need to go out and get another ecu. just simply have ur old ecu sent out and reprogramed. obd1 and 2 just means the kind of plug ur ecu takes. what u need is that right program to run ur engine.
