focus vs competition...
im looking to get a new car bc i totalled my altima....im looking for something between 7-9k...so i dont want to spend much. Im not worried about performance at all in this car, have a camaro on the side, lol, but i want a reliable car that will get good gas mileage. the focus is supposed to get about 26mpg. Is it a reliable car thou????i have heard of them breaking alot and wat else is in that price range that would work good for me. i want low miles, under 60k, and at least a 2000. thx for any help

Re: focus vs competition...
Get a Civic. Way more reliable than a focus, plus they can get gas mileage in the 35-40 mpg range.

Re: focus vs competition...
I never heard any real problems with a Focus. I have driven one and it was really nice, granted I have never owned one.

Here's an '01 Ford Focus ZTS sedan. With a manual tranny, it'll get 25 mpg city/33 mpg highway. With 60K miles, you should be able to get one for $7,000-$7,500. Happy hunting
