Power mirror switch '99 LS XT cab

Searched and couldn't find anything close so I figured I'd ask the experts directly. Power mirror switch is no longer working properly. Haven't started addressing the problem other than fuses are fine. Switch ocassionally works if pressed hard but not at all reliable. Having D or P side selected doesn't appear to matter. Anyone already been down this road?

Thanks all, btw, for the push button 4x4 fix. Found that one the other day.

i can say with about 99% confidence it the switch, considering when you push harder it works.

i have taken power window switches apart that had the same problems and gotten a little more life from them but if your not up for that, replace the switch.

My vote is on the switch as well , mine started acting up shortly after i got it and upon taking it out and looking at it, there was what looked like to be what the dealer used to clean the interior all over the circut board of the switch and it caused it to corrode and was all black, purchased a new switch and it is working fine to this day, 2 years later.

There was a re-call on the 98's but haven't heard on the 99.
I kept getting a letter saying they would catch on fire but never got around to taking it in. Now I have a 99 so time will tell if it's the same.
