Angry 4-Wheel Drive Problems

Hi. My 4-wheel drive on my 95 Blazer has quit working...AGAIN. I had it fixed last year, but am having the same problems again. Does not go into 4-Low or 4-Hi. When I attempt to put it in 4WD, it sounds like it drops into 4WD, but still does not work. Anything I should check myself before I rack up another huge bill?

Thanks!
