740i outside temp display problem...

My Outside Temp reads around 95 degrees fahrenheit when it is actually around 70degrees...

Does anyone know how to reset this or know how to fix this problem?

Where is the sensor located? Is it the outside temp for the engine?

Please help?

Re: 740i outside temp display problem...

I had a 1988 750 and the temp sensor was next to the drivers side fog light. The connector is two wires to a flat sensor with a nose like a dolphin. The biggest issue I had was that the connector to the sensor was dead and I went to auto parts store, bought some small male/female bullet style connectors, and then cut the wires from the electrcial connector to the sensor, crimped on the female connectors and slid them on the male connector on the sensor. Get down and look for that sensor poking its nose through the front of the car.
