fitting sound system in 306

i am fitting a sound system in my 306 but dont know much about wiring a sound system ive got 2x12"2000w subs, a pair of 600w 6x9s, 3Farad capacitor and a 1300w 4 channel amp (for now) i just read some about you need a Farad for every 1000w does that mean if i wire this up to my 1300w amp it will blow it because it a 3 farad capacitor

help or any information would be appreceated or web links with the information.

cheers

Mike

no it shouldn't because the power stated on your amp is total power not for each channel. if you wire all that up, ur amp will be busting its nuts out and you will get distorsion at high levels. you would be better to get a 2 channel amp. bridge two channels into one channel if amp can handle it for a sub on the two channel, do the same for the four channel with two of the channels and then with the two remaining channel use one each for the 6/9's.
With your setup as it is bridge the 4 channel into two channels and link one sub to each of these channels and run the 6/9's off your headunits rear speaker wires. personally i have a 15in sub with a mono amp and a seperate two channel for my 6/9's i run 4 gauge wiring. plus have uprated battery with split charger for my second battery and high output alternator.
