Not a clue. What production year is it? It looks like Weigart's personal ride.

It's 1999 prototype and suppose to finally place Vector brand among all other top-exotics where it should be long time ago, but again, financial, personal and legal problems stopped "owner/s and investors" in attempt to offer the car to the world, not only to local photograph! It seams to me that Vector supercars, especially original and unique W8, deserved far more serious approach from the very beginning from anyone who got involved in such a fantastic project. It is hard to believe that more then 30 years past from the first mock-up and how many were produced?

PS. Sorry for my English, it's not my native language

PPS. Also, don't forget the fact that all other, now globally successful European supercar brands and their original owners (Mr. Ferruccio Lamborghini, Mr. Enzo Ferrari, and many others...) had far more complicated beginnings in conservative European circumstances than it should have one in wealthy and liberal United States. It is unbelieveble to me that just recently two or so (Saleen, Mosler...) finally made one exotic model, each! You know, if I never knew anything about automobile industry and someone ask me - how many dreamcar manufacturers are in America, I would probably reply 20 to 30. Why is this happening, I don't know! Please don't say that long time 55 mph speed limit in US was the reason

Re: Vector SRV8, No. 001

That car was the ex-race car that we ran at Road Atlanta in 1998. It was repowered and had a couple photos taken. The real shame was that this could have been a pretty good car.
The chassis had some detail differences, the suspension pickup points had been moved from the other M12 chassis. This chassis was purpose built to be a race car so it was done a bit differently.
