Passlock 2 Security Syatem
I am having the same problem with my 2000 Chevy Blazer. About once or twice a week I cannot start it. THe security light flashes fro about 10 minutes then shuts off and I can start it fine. I am looking for a wway to permanently disable this unreliable system. If anyone knows please share.

This is the same Yellow Data Wire that is referred to in the following thread. You will need to figure out how to access your Main Ignition Switch Harness in the Column, unless yours has an in-line connector that you can access under the dash. http://www.automotiveforums.com/vbul...d.php?t=454520 Ray Proud Member of The Anti-Passlock Club

Re: Passlock 2 Security Syatem
I am having the same problem with my 98 malibu Theft System light popping on sometimes while I'm driving. Can I avoid going to the dealership if I cut the yellow wire or is mine different. What can I do?????

Re: Passlock 2 Security Syatem
Hi to all following this thread,
I have a 2000 Blazer, with the passlock problem. I've cut the yellow wire, while the car was running, and the passlock system has failed enabled. The problem has been solved temporary . Now, I'd like a permant fix. Does anyone know what signal the "Body Control Modual " expects to see from the ignition switch? Is it just a voltage level, or a series of pulses? I'm about to look with a voltmeter, and an ocilloscope. Peter |

Re: Passlock 2 Security Syatem
there is some way to do it coz i had to get a special box for my aftermarket autostart which over-rides the passlock 2 by mimicing a voltage i believe....perhaps research on bulldog security..(autostart brand name)
perhaps there will be documentation about the system. |

Re: Passlock 2 Security Syatem
From Everything I have read, It is a Voltage Level. I am getting ready to Cut the Yellow Wire on the Girlfriends Grand Am and install a Toggle switch.
