Exclamation Do You Think...

Do you think that the V6 Stangs' are a piece of shit? I mean, I have one and I hate that everybody thinks these things can't hold up! They are all like, " They can't keep up, they are slow!"

Whatever...if you mod them, they can easily beat a GT, maybe not a Cobra, but still a V6 Stang that sounds, runs, and looks just as good as a GT imo, is just as good as a stock GT!

What's your guys' input?

lol. why spend all that money just to get up to the level of a GT, when you can start off with one??

and dont say cuz you cant afford one. with all the money you'll put into it just to get up to GT-ish levels, you'll have spent way more then what a GT would have cost

That is pretty true, the GT model has alot more build up potential as well, and why are you showing a saleen?

I'm gonna have to disagree with some of you guys. I own a 1999 V6 Mustang. I must say that I am very happy with the modding potential of this car. It has a small rally type engine that you can easily mod. The way I see it, go ahead and buy your V8 Stang, and enjoy.....but you'll be like everyone else. Personally I'd get more pride and enjoyment out of having a V6 that can kick the shit out of any V8 on the road. No offense to anyone, and this is not a challenge to anybody. But you have to admit that there is very little room for mods under the hood of a GT or Cobra with a V8. Under my hood I have a ton of room for mods. I have a single glass pack exhaust right now, and it sounds meaner than several V8s I know of, and with my 5 speed I haven't been blown away. I've been beaten, but never stomped on. You also have to remember that I have left everything stock for now. So don't listen to anyone about calling your stang a pussy or whatever. Just show them in the future man.

that is a good point about being unique. My first car was a 67 mustang with an inline 6, now i've beaten several v-6 mustangs pretty bad, but if they had work done they could havedone better. It wont be the fastest, thats a fact, but, it will be cool to say you have something unique.

sixes

When I was a teenager (many decades ago) my friends and I mainly hotrodded the family cars, 6 cylinders with 3 on the tree, VW's ( yeah you could make them run 12 secs, but boy that would cost and it was really dangerous. On of my friends VW had loads of low end torque and one day one of the pistons came through the barrel, the rear floor board and ended up inside the rear seat!)

BUT, IMO, you still can't beat the seat sinking torque of a V8. Just go to the drags and listen to the 4 and 6 cylinder racers, granted some are really fast, but they have a lot of mods in them. A basic 5.0 with some basic mods should go 13's easily.

and thats alot of the point, also with the weight of a mustang vs a honda, the v-8 has a better weight to power ratio.

V-6 Mustang? Small Rally type engine? Now those are both funny. Do most of you consider the V-6 model a stang; it may say Mustang, but is it really? I dont think so. As for small rally type engine, LOL, I have a small rally engine. That monstrous 3.8 12 valve V-6, get real.

By the way, the 99+ V-6 stangs are quick. The 98 and under, you might as well drive a metro. I smoke those with a slipping clutch and 5psi of boost.

dont come on and be a dick head flaming shit you dont post facts for. :bandit:

If you wanna talk shit, go to Pure Honda, if you wanna talk cars, then use facts or ideas.

If he can make a 12 second v-6 stang, then he would be eating cobras.

It might even be cheeper tomake a 12 second 6-stang
