Market for softtop

I have an 05 Unlimited and replaced the soft top with a factory hardtop after 3 months. I like the softtop but had too many problems with leaks after the OEM hardtop was installed by the dealer. I do not want to go thru that every fall.

Is there a market for a slightly used softtop? Should I try local papers first? Anyone have a suggested price? Thanks.

I dont know what street value is but just for fun I checked out ebay and a new one goes for about $1000 for the '05 OEM unlimited top.

i live in indiana and the best place ive seen to get used tops is from dealers that sell wrecked jeeps for rebuilding purposes. some dealers have spare tops laying around from jeeps they parted out to use on the rebuilds. and as slow as things are recently they ll sellem cheap. I just bought a hard top with doors for $800.00. and as for having to swap tops in the fall....get used to it. its part of owning a wrangler.. ive built a hoist that lifts the top off i store mine up in the rafters of my garage. as far as the leaks you may have to make adjustments here and there...Do you have any jeep buddys? that do there own work?
