power window motor failure

I have a 2002 z24 2dr. The power window motor on the driver side doesn't work. I took off the door panel and wanted to cry. Is there any way to replace the motor without dremeling the bolts off and pretty much taking apart the whole door? I bought a new motor, but I don't want to spend a bunch getting it installed if I can do it myself.

I recently changed the passenger power window motor on my 1999 Z24 which should be similar to yours. After disconnecting the battery cables, I first drilled out all of the existing rivets and found it easy to pull the entire unit out through the existing hole towards the rear of the door. Now the most important part of the job is to set the spring on the new motor exactly as it was set on the old one from the factory. It is under quite a bit of tension so I nailed the motor assembly to my workbench which allowed me to set the spring. Once this is done the motor assembly can be placed back into the door. I then simply used bolts with locknuts to secure the motor, reattached the cables, lubricated the wheels and guides and reinstalled the door panel. The entire operation took me about two hours. Now that I have done one I could probably do it in an hour.
I bought the motor on Ebay for $25.00 and it works great!!!!!! Good luck.
