This does not work on modern vechiles.

We used to take out our IAT sensor - put it in the fridge for 20mins - then measure the resistance, then go buy the same resister and simply short it across the IAT sensor plug. The intent is to 'trick' the car into think it is cold outside all the time, therefore have it run rich, and potentially by adding the more fuel = more power.

Modern car will only be tricked of a short while and then either change the adaptive curve to call the new lower temperture 'normal' or throw a CEL light once it determines that something is not normal.

Well I just love how people don't tell the truth anymore and will just sell you anything. Let me ask yall another question. Will a programer help this car out and be very noticable?

Yes.
I help guinea pig the first use of the SCT XCalibrator on the LS. I got mine from FastPartsNetwork.com - Torrie has now done many LSes and even had some on his dyno.

At MBT (mean best torque) I got 22rwhp - slight ping at WOT
I run daily with a 19rwhp tune, modified shift points, firmed SST shifting and remove rev limiter.

it is the best hp gain you can get from a mod.

So you can modify shift points too. Do you have options on horsepower sttings like the diesels. And on the average how much does one cost?

The unit comes with three 'tune' files from the reseller (Torrie) and then stores your factory PCM code in it during first upload. So you can easily change between tunes - but it is a seperate upload (takes 5mins), veruses some of the diesel tuners where you can change it on the fly.

The XCalibrator2 has end user adjustments - injector size, speedo adjustment, timing, ....etc...

$399 http://www.fastpartsnetwork.com/sct1-X2.html
