89 corsica 2.0 problems

ok well the Timing belt tensioner broke, I replaced everything, new chain gears and all that, put it back together and all I get is popping threw the Throttle Body, I pulled the plugs and only 1 of them are wet and it is furthest to the drivers side, thats also the only plug getting gas. did I bend valves or whats going on? I got both marks lined up right on the tension tabs.

This is a litle beyond my knowing for sure, but, anytime a chain problem is involved a great chance exists for damaged valves. I had an old dodge that had the chain tensioner goof up and I bent valves in all four cylinders, and I have seen a lot of this in other forums. To rule it out I would think you would need a compression test, and d/c all other work. Hopefully someone else will add something to this, that has had this happen on this particular motor.
