Please HELP...car won't start !!
Hi guys, heres the problem..i was driving and all of a sudden my car lose power and stops/wont start again....i opened up the distribution cap and start the car but the rotor did not turn....so..i open up to check the timing belt...it was still on there but very very lose. Could the problem be the tensioner? Would this cause the car not to start (timing belt a llittle bit off)? ...or does my problem have to do with the distributor/rotor/... ? or wat is my problem?...
I really dont know much about car and on a very tight budget (a tow to a mechanic alone was estimated at $165) . I really appreciate all your help in advance.. thank you. BTW it is a 96 honda prelude. Thanks again.

first step is to check fuel, spark, and power.

you say the rotor isn't turning while you crank the motor over?
