How to replace front turn and back brake lights for 99 Jetta? Help...

Thanks for looking at my post:
My wifes car is a 99 Jetta.

Problem 1: The front left turn is out, found the compartment door to the light, tight squeeze, can barely get to it with my fingers, remove the battery compartment maybe? Which way do you turn it to pull it out? Seems like a bear to get out...

Problem 2: The same side, back brake light is out, any tricks tips there for getting it out?

Thanks,...don't want her to get busted for the lights...thanks a bunch...dano

1. pull the electrical conector off first then turncounter clockwise i believe (looking at the headlight from the front of car) its pretty tight

2. the back pannel, theres 2 1" tabs on both sides ofthe bracket for bulbs you need to pull in then pull the top out first
