Unhappy integra fans......

So i've been having this problem lately where the A/C fan turns on and runs for a long time after I shut the car off resulting in a dead or severely run-down battery. Me not realizing it was the A/C fan replaced the coolant fan switch, and the coolant temp sensor. To no avail, the fan still ran after I started and shut off the car, even when the car only ran for about 5 minutes.

So after looking into it a little further I realized it was the A/C fan and not the coolant fan running. So since my A/C isn't hooked up and its winter I just unplugged that particular fan. Problem solved, right?

I guess that leads me to my question. Will I run into any problems with just unplugging that fan? will it adversely affect my coolant fans operation? I let the car idle for a little while and come up to temp and the fan never came on. Now I'm worried that I interupted a circuit or something. The gauge never went past just shy of half, but like I said the fan didn't come on either. Maybe I should let it idle longer I don't know.

So if anyone knows whether just unplugging the A/C fan could screw something up let me know.

Re: integra fans......

You can unplug that thing. Of the two fans you really only need the radiator fan on the left, as long as your not using your AC (which your not). My friend's type R doesnt even have a fan bolted there, its just the radiator fan on the left half of the radiator and nothing on the right side. You will be fine without that fan, take it off if you want make some room for a turbo
