4WD Selector Switch

The light bulb went out in my 98 EXP 4 wheel drive selector switch. I removed the switch and pulled the bulb retainer. The bulb would not pull out of the holder though. I was afraid to break it. Is this an integeral bulb? Having to replace the entire holder. I went to the Ford dealership parts dept and they couldn't locate the bulb in their computer. And they didn't have the switch to examine.

The same bulb is out on my 97 Expedition. The dealer told me it is sold as an assembly ($80). Wouldn't you know it.

Re: 4WD Selector Switch

Go to a junk yard and find the assembly. Keep your old switch for the parts.
