94 silverado 4.3 to 5.7 engine swap possible?

Alright i got a 94 silverado with a 4.3 v6 and i was wondering if it is possible for me to put a caburated 350 out of a 79 silverado into it...i just dont know how this will affect all of the computer stuff on this truck...im just hoping that i can swap them because i have a 350 but its an older style...

you could probably use the 350 with a tbi intake throttle body and ecm you could get all this from a salvage yard but make sure and get the wiring harness from the same motor u take the throttle body ecm and intake as they change from year to year

im currently in the process of working out the bugs in my 350 i changed my 93 short-wheel base single cab stepside from a 4.3 to a motor tranny harness and computer from a 90 model. motor was rebuilt and has around 65,000 miles on it was bored 40 over with a small cam and upgraded prom chip(ecu) headers dual flowmasters and other performance components approx. 375 hp

but its relatively easy as long as u have everything u need and a 350 in the place of a 4.3 is really a joy and will put a smile on ur face even if u lose a few mpg didnt really bother me esp. when i line up against ricers with my 3800 pound truck with 375 hp

Do you have emissions tests in your state, in many places you would not be able to register it with an old 350 and a carb setup

If you do not ha Emissions testing then just get an MSD ignition and enjoy the ride. You do not have to run the computer.
