Pulley Question

Ok, I Have A D16z6 Block In A 1988 Civic Dx Hatch. I'm Trying To Put The Origional Crank Pulley On It Off Of D15b2 But The Origional One Won't Fit Over The Snout And Bolt Up. I'd Like To Use It Because All I Have Is A/c And Alt. No Power Steering. The Pulley Is Lighter, Any Ideas? Thanks. Tk

Re: Pulley Question

Back in the day I managed to get a DX pulley on an a6, not really sure why yours won't. I know there are two Different crank snout sizes. but I'm pretty sure I had that working before...

Yea, you must be trying to put the smaller snout size pulley on the larger crank. I think it might have been 88 that had the smaller snout so that may be why it's not fitting

Pulley Question

Is There Any Way To Maybe Drill It Out So That It Fits, Would That Be Unsafe? Thanks

As long as you have a reputable machine shop do it, that would be fine. But dont even think about taking something like a hole saw to it and trying it yourself. I'd just look for another pulley, that would be your best bet my far. and not trying to jack the post or anything, but i do have a couple extra pulleys sitting around if you do decide to go that route.
