Never tried it, but...
I replaced my shocks a couple of weeks ago, so had the springs out. While I was doing it, I thought "god, they've not even rolled the edges of the springs, I could cut them down a little and they'd still fit perfectly". In other words, technically I'd see no reason why not. Just don't cut them down too much... oh, it might be worthwhile getting a set of springs from a scrapper and trying it on them - just in case it all goes wrong, at least you'll have a good set still. |

Well, I bet you are pretty determined to lower the car so just try it out. It will be bouncy. You can tell us how bad/good it is when you do it.
![]() I suggest you cut one and a half coils off. That should give you a good drop. I used a hacksaw to cut my Intrax rears. It took some good effort but it worked out perfectly. As long as you do it by yourself, then you don't lose any money and it's worth it because of the experience. Taking apart the suspension is fun and pretty simple. Good workout. But don't pay for a shop to take apart your suspension and cut the springs because that's a waste of money. |

my opinion would be to put the springs you won on your car and see how you like it, cutting the spring will wack out the way the spring is "balanced"
you can always cut them, but ride on them before you cut them. |
