Altima se-r vs. turbo integra

so i was gonna meet up with my friend that just moved down here with his 94 supra and as i was goin around the beach i saw an integra and it hit me, i kinda knew him from highschool, he graduated b4 me. at the end of his senior year he got a greddy turbo and pushed only 7 psi and made about 205 at the wheels.well his car has been away for a while gettin internals he can push 13 psi now and he dynoed 285 whp. with other things added.

well i got up next to him and figured he wouldnt reconize me cuz i just got my car.he punch it and then slowed down and put his window down.then i saw my friend on the side of the road(hes new to this town so he doesnt kno where anything is) i told the guy in the integra to follow me and we both pulled over and talked.

well finally when we left i told him i wanted to run him for fun. we waited for the traffic to get far away and we were at 35 mph in 2nd. he asked "are u in 2nd" i said yea. he said ok go and we both hit it at the same time... even at first, with me maybe inching ahead and then that turbo spooled and at the top of 2nd he quickly pulled a car and then we shifted into 3rd and he had atleast 2 and half cars on me. shuttin down at 75.. i gave him a thumps up and he said he was on 10 psi.

*few hours later*
we met up at brandons work(srt4 owner) and since its on the highway a lot of ppl startin comin to see the supra, people that i kno. so i introduced them to john(supra owner) and then i saw the boy with the evo come by and i told him to turn around. im cool with him, but then some of his friends came by ( 06 eclipse owner, yea i kno i hate him, and a cobalt ss owner) so when they came everything turned a little shitty. they started talkin shit like they were the best drivers and everything.. they talked about how fast there cars were, and the thing that gets me is that its there daddys car. they didnt pay for any of it. the cobalt wanted to race me, i said i havent got the launch down yet. both kids were gettin on my nerves tho. whatever, the thing that gets me is that i kno if i was to race someone like that i would get nervous and f*ck up. i kno that ill never hear the end of it. and it will bother me.

Good loss to the integra. Don't worry about F'ing up a launch and losing. I've lost far more races then i've won, and I still enjoyed it. Afterall nothing is worse then being a sore loser.

With the Cobalt I doubt you'll have to worry about getting him on the launch, as i've read that they have severe axle hop issues. Towards the top end you have to worry though. Try to keep it to 80 mph, cause after that the Cobalt SS will assert itself on you.

i heard the opposite, i heard they get off the line pretty nicely and pull 1st and 2nd gear. but then i garantee i will get him top end. i asked if he wanted to run on the highway and he said no.

Dunno where you got your information from. Ask Bulldog how hard it is to launch his car.

wait a minute.....youll race an srt but you wont race a cobalt ss.......this should be switched around and if you beat the srt like you said you did then you will probably stomp the ss.....trust me run and then find out...

Yes, because if you can beat the SRT4, you should be able to stomp z06 corvettes and at least the lightly modified fbodies.

If you don't take my word for it...get 209 SRT to show you one of the 10,000 videos he has downloaded of everyone elses srt4, because he won't go out there and race anything worth posting about. He will talk alot of shit about how slow trucks are though.

no basically the kid in the cobalt ss said," u should beat me u have like 230 at the wheels and i only have 207 so if u lose then its bc u cant drive".. and this kid talks so much shit.. i asked him if he wanted to go on the highway and he said no. the thing is i just need to get more experience racing from a launch.

QR practice your launch then try to get a launch where your wheels wont spin too much. plus if you can beat an srt so you say you should beat an SS. Plus the Kid is either Fooling you that he aint stock or he's using Psycology on you man. they've done that to me when i had my old eclipse

i only beat the srt4 bc he isnt the best driver yet. as far as the ss goes they are fast. and i kno hes modded, even if its slightly. i kno 4 sure he has an injen intake, plus he has like 2 yrs of driving stick experience.i have probably a total of 2 months.. and barely and launching experience.. i feel bad when i practice bc i dont wanna have to buy a new clutch any time soon.

but anyways when i did do a few launches the best thing i found was about 2.3-2.5 grand and ease the clutch out and ease the throttle in and don't floor it until the end of 1st. but sometimes i mess up and bogg or get too excitied and give it too much gas and i just spin. i just have to have more practice.

I like srt4s just fine. They are on about the same level as trucks as far as respect wise on the street. We both have to earn it. I'm just giving you hell, and you are returning the favor.
Kinda makes me look forward to getting back onto AF.com. Also keeps things interesting.

well since the SS is modded, then its up in the air who would win given equal drivers. but if hes stock, then your SE-R should be able to pull on him by a few cars esp up top.
