XFI without vacuum advance on distributor?
I saw a pic of an XFI engine and it didn't have a vacuum advance on the distributor. Was this typical for the XFI? If so is there an advantage to disconnecting it if a Metro has one? What are the trade offs? Thanks for your reply.

Re: XFI without vacuum advance on distributor?
depending on the year metros came with vacuum advance or electronic advance, no real advantage to changing one over. on the electronic one the computer senses engine load and throttle position and adjusts timing accordingly
