where exactly is the water pump on a 1997 Izuzu Rodeo? Needs to be changed but not sure where to find it.

It's burried behind the timing belt cover(s) on the front of the engine. It's driven by the timing belt. The labor is the same as a timing belt changeout, so when anyone goes in there, they typically changeout the timing belt, timing belt tensioner and pusher, and waterpump all at the same time. It all should last well over 100Kmi.
