Anit Lock light on dash.

The anti lock light just showed up on the dash. I am assuming that this means it not functioning. Are there any common problems with these or should I just go and replace the unit? Is there a way to pull a code off in case a sensor is bad or something else? I didn't find much on the forum search.

Thanks

gotta get it checked for codes. the abs control is well over $1000 and is probably not the trouble. the good news is with the light on you still have brakes just no abs.

just noticed this is a '93 codes can be checkedw\o a scan tool.

Diagnostic trouble codes (DTCs) can be read with the Tech 1 scan tool or by jumping terminal "H" to terminal "A" of the data link connector (DLC) and counting the ANTILOCK lamp flashes. The terminals must be jumped for a few seconds before the DTC will begin to flash. The ANTILOCK lamp displays DTCs similar to the SERVICE ENGINE SOON light for the fuel and emissions system.
