toyota auto transmission

hi all, i'm thinking of buying a toyota emina 2.2 diesel with auto box, it is about ten years old and has about80,000 miles, only i'm worried about how long an auto box will last, i would be very gratefull if you could tell me if you have, or know of one with a lot more miles on the original box

slippery09uk,

My 89" Camary has over 200,000 miles on the original transmission and doesn't appear to indicate failure yet. So far good luck and seems rock solid! My buddies 4Runner is going on 260,000 miles on his original as well.

If you can get records on it's services that'll tell you the tail. Always keep up the services on time and it'll take good care of you.
