Re: Dodge Challenger

awesome, didn't register as a new post for me so i didn't check it out my first time around, but GW. I'd definently buy one if I had the money, they made one and I was a fanatic about challengers. Sounds like my dad.

Re: Dodge Challenger

Awesome.

As your were trying, The reflections are great!
But, just a question. Why is the image so aliased?

But the whole job is perfect!

Bye
Magliano

Re: Dodge Challenger

Thanks.. I don't know why it's so aliased, except that to reduce for the web, I had to drop the "quality" to 50% to keep it under 80k... also, used "photobucket" to upload the image... couldn't upload in AF. Robo

Nice angle.
Cool rendering.
Big heavy and fast.
If I would love to be able to own one of those.
I want one in poor shape that I could drive on the
dirtroads that surround the town I live in.
I would kill myself.

Re: Dodge Challenger

Looks great! Nice reflections. Upload your images thru imageshack.us - the limit is over 100 k's so you don't have to worry about reducing size and quality. The only thing that's bothering me about your rendering is the pixelated effect like magliano mentioned.

Re: Dodge Challenger

That and save it as a jpeg if you didn't already. Usually greatly reduces size

Re: Dodge Challenger

Nice work, I like the "pattern" reflections.
They contrast well with the gradient fade for shading.

Re: Dodge Challenger

great car!

You might want to use a shadow color that has less green in it. Try a reddish brown but not too much. Hit it with a deep burnt ochre on the darkest edges and it'll have more range. Toss in some wheel well shadows to sink your rubber under and you're there.

Great reflections! It's not an easy car or angle to draw and you nailed that body line which is by far the signature line of this car. If you're going for the 70's style maybe add a 340 badge and the ralley stripes on the side...hot!

When I first saw this I immediately remembered the Challengers I saw at the barrett-Jackson auction and felt that same thrill all over.

Great piece!
