LS6 and LS1 intake

Ok so i was surfing the net at LM performance and i saw the black ls6 intake. On a previous post i saw that Mr. Luos said that the LS6 intake doesnt have the EGR system. But on LM performance they say that the stock EGR can be used with the LS6 intake. IM NOT TRYING TO SAY THAT ANY1 IS WRONG OR IM RIGHT. Im just a little confused so can any1 clear it up for me.

Some aftermarket LS6 intakes were made with the EGR so its a direct fit for the 98-00 cars. Most LS6 intakes do not have an EGR. You can also see a difference on the shape of the runners (top side) of the intakes to tell them apart. LS6 is more up and rounded then the LS1. Tough to explain unless you see one of each side by side.

Re: LS6 and LS1 intake

I used to have pics of them side by side....but I can't seem to find them now. Must have deleted them.
There is one or two places that make an LS6 intake with EGR provisions.
A factory LS6 intake will not have the EGR provisions.
Couple pics of an install here....

Back when I upgraded to the LS6 intake I just removed my EGR and AIR.
