E3 sparkplugs... anyone using them?

I recently bought a '96 Metro, 1.0L that the previous owner had recently installed E3 plugs. Looking at their website, these things are nearly a miracle, but I was wondering if anyone here has used them and can comment on fuel economy improvements?

Those Bosch +4 plugs are allot of money. I bought the basic Bosch platinum plugs and noticed a considerable (for a 3 cylinder) differance in fuel economy and power, compared to the plugs GM sold me last time. Save your money, I say and go middle of the road.

I just use stock NGK plugs and they work great, why pay more for overkill?

The car came with the E3 plugs installed only a few thousand miles ago, so I was just wondering if there really is a mileage advantage or if the E3 web site was just hype?

Well, the only way to know for certain is to do a test. Drive on a couple of tanks with the E3's and take an exact measure of your fuel performance. To do this, first you fill your tank and note your odometer reading (A). Then you drive until the tank is ready to be filled again. Note your odometer reading (B), and how many liter's/gallons you filled this time. Subtract A from B, and divide the result by the amount of fuel.

Here's an example of my last fill:
A= 193095 km
B= 193504 km and 26.84 liters

409/26.84=15.23 km/l or for you yanks,

254.14/7.09 gal =35.83 miles/gal (yes, I know that's very low )

Now the tough part. Change the plugs, and try to drive exactly the way you did brfore you changed them. Note your mileage again and compare, and post it for everyone to see!

Or, you can just leave them and hope they're helping.
