Question large scale tires

ok im looking to scratch build a large scale version of my 1978 puch moped lol. i was looking towards building about a 1/8 scale but i dont know how i would get the thin rubber tires to match it. if i decided on 1/12 i could use the tires from an older motorcycle model but id rather do a larger scale, any help?

Re: large scale tires

Look into tamiya's bike series..I dunno if you will be able to tell what tires are in the kits. But, if you can tell what you want, you can try to order them from tamiya's parts. Good luck.

Funny, I was in my LHS just tonight and saw that somebody (it was either Revell or Italeri) had put out a 1/9 Vespa scooter. Maybe a set of spare tyres can be gotten through them?
