Overheating Problem...I searched but no answers
I'm having this problem with my 97 camry. the engines overheats when I don't step on the gas. The temperature goes all the way up when the engine is at idle but as soon as I rev the car the temperature goes down. What could it be? Also where can I down load Service manaul for my car? free....thanks

Re: Overheating Problem...I searched but no answers
Is there enough coolant in the system? If it's full, and still overheating, try changing out the coolant and the thermostat. You should also check for leaks. If that doesn't fix it, then it may be your water pump. As for the repair manual, ther're only about $15 - $20. It's alot easier when you have a real manual with you while you work on the car instead of having to go back and forth from the driveway and the computer. The manual would pay for itself after the first few repairs. I also doubt that any free online manual would be as detailed as a real manual. I have a 96 camry, and I bought the repair manual the day after I got the car. It's been a life saver time and time again.
