Gunze HighTech prices

Hi

I'm interested in buying some Gunze HighTech kits. The Ferrari 250 and the Lotus Elan.

But what is a fair price to pay for these kits? e.g. how much are these kits worth?

I think their worth what your willing to pay. I paid £46.00 ($70.00ish), for the Cobra Daytona kit and that's curbside. I thought at the time it was well worth the money and still do. The Ferrari kits do sell for high prices though. I believe Airfix realeased the Ferrari 250 with engine which If I'm correct it's the same kit. I have seen these in the UK selling for £40.00. You could of course buy the curbside Gunze Ferrari and put your own engine in it. Replica and Miniatures do a 1/24th 250GTO engine.

I also have a Protar 250 kit which is very nice (opening doors, hood, full engine detail) which I only paid £7.00 (about $14-15)for.

Good luck

Oh, yes, hi guys, new to the board here and this is my first post!!

Re: Gunze HighTech prices

I agree. As all of my kits they're worth what would like to pay for them. But I always look for the Airfix editions first, thesame kit but most of the time a lot cheaper.

And sometimes be lucky, when I look on eBay right now, the Gunze High Tech Jaguar XK-E is around $60. I got mine recently for $25.

Re: Gunze HighTech prices

I saw the Cobra Daytona at a shop in town yesterday for $200.00, so it's whatever you want to spend to have one.

Ok, so 50$-100$ seems to be a normal price for the High-Tech kits.

What is the major difference between the High-Tech kits and the normal gunze kits? Some ekstra photoetched and white metal parts?

Re: Gunze HighTech prices

The normal one is just like any curbside plastic model. The high tech version is a multi media kit with metal chassis, photo etch wheels etc. Not all high tech kits come with engines, so look at the box carefully.
