Talking You're a teacher if:

You're a teacher if.....

*You believe the staff room should have a valium salt lick.
*You find humour in other people's stupidity.
*You want to slap the next person who says "must be nice to have
all those holidays". [That is for bloody sure]
*You can tell it's a full moon without even looking outside.
*You believe "shallow gene pool" should have it's own box on the
card.
* You believe that unspeakable evil will befall you if anyone says "Boy the kids have been great today".
* When out in public, you feel the urge to talk to strange children
and correct their behaviour.
* Marking all A's on the report card would make your life so much
simpler.
* When you mention "vegetables" and you're not talking about food
groups.
*You think people should be required to get a government permit
before being allowed to reproduce.
* You wonder how some parents ever manage to reproduce.
* You believe in aerial spraying of Prozac.
* You really encourage an obnoxious parent to check into home
schooling.
* You have had your profession slammed by someone who would
never dream of doing your job.
* Your own children have numbers instead of names because there is
no name you could give a child that wouldn't bring on high blood
pressure the moment you heard it.
* Meeting a child's parents instantly answers the question, "Why is
this kid like this?".

Too true

Well, I'm not a teacher, but I went to school. And looking back on it, I must say one thing to all my teachers... "I'm sorry!!!"

LOL
I had a HS math teacher who would always 'tell it to you straight', he didn't mince words to avoid hurting feelings.
About 2 years ago he had a student who only showed up to class about 1/4 of the time, and when there, would just sleep.
At the school's open house mid-semester, this student's parents approached him and asked, "Why the #%&$ is my kid failing your class???" My teacher said, "Because he's a moron from a shallow gene pool." The parents threw water in his face, and he got a talking-to from the superintendent, but no one would fire him because his students invariably scored highest in the state on tests. He was so good I took 5 classes from him.

Sounds like my classroom. I don't punish - I get even and the kids know it

I also don't beat around the bush when I tell parents about their kids - strangely enough they appreciate it

Sigh - parent/teacher night is coming up soon - damn I hate it. Sometimes I think the parents are more stupid than the kids

This same teacher 'accidentally' disconnected the intercom speaker in his room, as he was getting interrupted 10 times daily with pointless announcements.

Gosh, by now you should be absolutely POSITIVE that the parents are far more stupid!
